Seniors

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Why should I go to David Designer Portraits for my senior portraits? At David’s, you’re getting more than just pictures. Our staff has over 20 years of experience creating beautiful portraits, and our main goal is to make sure you have fun while getting the portraits you want. We also offer great products you won’t find anywhere else!

2. What if I hate my portraits? We’re fairly sure you’ve seen other portraits from David’s. Our photographer, David, has spent many years photographing seniors, and almost everyone loves their portraits. That’s why we guarantee our work-- we’re sure you’ll love what you see!

3. How much do people usually spend on senior portraits? It varies from customer to customer. Generally, people spend from $500 to $800 on their senior portraits, though we’ve had orders as small as $300 and as high as $1500. It all depends on how many friends and family you need to purchase portraits for. We offer many different packages, as well as individual portrait prices in case you need to create your own package.

4. What should I bring to my senior session? Whatever you like! Seriously, this session is about YOU, your likes, your hobbies... Do you play sports? Bring your sports equipment, trophies, uniforms, letterman’s jacket, etc. Are you in the band? Bring your instrument, sheet music, or anything else related to band. Hobbies, collections, pets, you name it-- we can photograph it. Just bring someone to keep an eye on your pets if you don’t have a pet carrier.

5. What happens when I order? On your session date, our staff will schedule you to come back in about 1 week to order your portraits. During this ordering appointment, we will start by showing you a slide show of your many portraits. You will also be able to view your portraits one by one using our special computer ordering system. This allows you to see the images enlarged so that you can make the best choices for your wall portraits, gift portraits, wallets, folio and other specialty items. This appointment usually lasts 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

6. Who should come with me to order? Whoever has a say in which portraits are ordered should come along, especially the person paying for them. You should come too, instead of sending mom or dad to choose your portraits.

7. How long do I have to wait until my portraits come in? Generally, your portraits will be back 6 to 8 weeks from the date your final order is placed.

8. What are you doing this year that’s different from before? Lots of things! We’re offering several new products ike our Showcase Composite featuring 6 of your favorite images. We also have lots of folio and album options. We can now personalize your wallet poses with your name and graduation year. We’ve also added new props and backgrounds... it’s a new year, and we’re taking full advantage of it!
